Celebrate Missouri’s Hunting Heritage, One Stitch at a Time! This class is a series of 12 programs that meets once each month, all year long. Celebrate 90 years of conservation in Missouri by exploring the rich traditions of our state’s hunting heritage—one stitch at a time! In this hands-on embroidery program, participants will learn simple yet elegant embroidery techniques while honoring the wildlife, traditions, and outdoor skills that have shaped Missouri’s hunting history. Over the course of the program, you’ll create 16 unique quilt blocks, each celebrating a piece of the hunting heritage that continues to connect generations of Missourians to the outdoors. Programs will be held on the third Thursday of each month at 3:00 p.m. or 6:00 p.m. at the Cape Girardeau Conservation Nature Center. Please sign up for the time that works best for you. You will need to supply your own embroidery hoop, needle, and thread. We will have patterns, fabric, light boards, and Frixion pens available for tracing the patterns. A similar virtual program is also offered if you wish to provide your own supplies. Sara L Bradshaw
