Wonder what the secret is to growing native seeds? It’s to do almost nothing! Think winter is the wrong time to plant? Think again! Winter is the perfect time to winter sow native seeds. Join us for this virtual introduction to a simple, low-cost way to give native seeds the cold shoulder and the wet conditions that many plants needs to germinate! We’ll explore why winter is the perfect time to start native plants from seeds, which species are good candidates (and why they will make awesome additions to your yard or other planting), how to make tiny greenhouses out of recycled gallon jugs, and how to plant them for a fun spring of sprouting! No fancy equipment or greenhouses are needed. Just bring along your curiosity and your can-do attitude. Ginger L Miller
