Through the month of October, Monarch butterflies continue their migration through Missouri on their way to their wintering area in central Mexico. In this program, we’ll cover their incredible life cycle, look for other butterfly species, and take part in the Monarch Watch citizen science project by catching and tagging monarchs to help track their migration. We’ll also explore simple ways to support monarchs, native butterflies, and other pollinators at home and in our communities. This program may be postponed for 24 hours or canceled in the event of rain. (Registrants will be notified by email). DAVID J BRUNS
Location Information

Originally established in 1879, the Forest Park Hatchery was the first fish culture activity in Missouri. Today this fish hatchery is no longer operated for fish farming but rather for educational programming.

You must cancel your registration before Saturday, October 3, 2026.
Age Policy:

All registrants for this event must be between 7 and 100 years of age by 10/3/2026.
