Women in the Wilderness: Intro to Backpacking Ready to level up your weekend? This women-only overnight adventure is built for those who want a supportive, beginner-friendly first step into the backcountry. Between Saturday and Sunday, we’ll tackle the scenic 8-mile Turkey Pen Hollow loop at Ha Ha Tonka State Park, staying at one of the backcountry campsites Saturday night. With all gear provided, all you need to bring is your curiosity, a willingness to explore, and a good pair of shoes! Together we’ll hike, set up camp, cook outdoors, and learn essential backpacking skills in a relaxed, confidence-boosting setting. Participants will join a virtual meeting on Thursday, October 15 at 6pm for gear overview and logistics, then meet at Ha Ha Tonka on Saturday, October 17 at 10am.
