This program includes archery safety, operation, shooting fundamentals, maintenance, and safe storage.

Archery is one of those outdoor skills that’s easy to pick up and genuinely fun to do—especially with a group. In this laid-back session, you’ll get the basics of shooting a compound bow and plenty of time to practice. No pressure, no experience needed. Just show up ready to try something new, hang out with other folks who enjoy being outside, and let Missouri Department of Conservation guide you through the essentials. This program is perfect if you want to experience archery in a friendly, structured setting. We’ll provide all the gear, so please leave personal equipment at home. Wear close-toed shoes and dress for the weather—we’ll be outdoors the whole time. This program will be cancelled in the event of inclement weather. DAVID J BRUNS
