When you look out at your flower garden do you thank a bee, fly, bat, hummingbird, moth or any other of the pollinators that pollinate the flowers, without which we would not have 75 percent of our fruits and vegetables. When the Earth Was Green, Plants, Animals, and Evolution’s Greatest Romance, by Riley Black describes the evolution of plants from the beginning before when they started photosynthesizing which led to oxygen breathing animals to evolve. Then through when plants and animals coevolved to fertilize the fruits that feed so many animals, including humans. Come and discuss this amazing path with us. This program is hosted by the Webster Groves Nature Study Society Nature Book Group but being a member is not required to participate. Scott Sarantakis
