Tiny Worlds, Big Lens: Insect Photography with your Cell Phone Discover the incredible insect life thriving just beyond your doorstep. Explore the fascinating world of native backyard insects with MDC Media Specialist and professional photographer Dan Zarlenga, together with Naturalist Christina Ritter, as they guide you through identifying beneficial species and understanding their role in a thriving ecosystem. During this hands-on program, you’ll learn simple techniques for photographing insects in action—capturing their colors, behaviors, and unique adaptations using your cell phone or traditional camera. You’ll also discover practical ways to create a welcoming habitat that attracts pollinators, predators, and other essential species to your own outdoor space. Whether you’re a nature enthusiast, a budding photographer, or simply curious about the tiny creatures that keep our world in balance, this program offers an inspiring look at the hidden life all around you. Program runs 6 - 7 pm, but the presenters are willing to stay with you for up to one additional hour (7 - 8 pm) if you would like to practice your newfound skills. Robyn Parker
