Join us for a Saturday morning storybook reading all about nocturnal animals! For this program, we will be reading While You’re Asleep by Emmy Kastner. When the Earth slowly spins and light fades away, animals hunker down for bedtime. But the narrator’s cozy story is interrupted by fireflies flickering, raccoons enjoying chicken dinners, and foxes planning a nighttime festival. The narrator eventually gives up trying to get the nocturnal creatures to go to sleep like everyone else as skunks, beavers, and more gather for a midnight soiree you’d have to see to believe…if you weren’t asleep! Finish up this fun morning with opportunities to touch pelts of those nocturnal critters we hear about in the story, and make a quick craft to remember your program. This program is most appropriate for ages 4-7, but all are welcome. Please meet in classrooms C & D at the start of this program. ***When registering, please ensure that you register all individuals attending, including children and adults. Lauren Baker
