Enjoy the serenity of the full moon with a hike! Join a Burr Oak Woods Nature Center Naturalist and a member of the Astronomical Society of Kansas City on a hike all about our native wildlife while discovering the beauty of the moon itself through a telescope. Starting at the Nature Center, the hike will feature several stops learning about wildlife before taking a break in the prairie for a full moon viewing. The route is a loop and is about 1 mile long on a partially paved trail. The hike would be considered easy with some slight hills and occasionally uneven terrain. Wear good walking shoes, dress for the weather, and bring a water bottle. If accommodations are needed, please e-mail the instructor at least one week prior to the program. Rachel Mandi
