*Mandatory orientation on October 8th from 4:00-6:00pm at Burr Oak Woods Education Pond Many of us drive over the Missouri River without giving it a second thought. Have you ever wondered what it would be like to join in on an exploration of Missouri’s most magnificent natural resource in a canoe? It is magic to be on the river! We will explore a 9 mile stretch on the Missouri River from LaBenite Park to Cooley Lake. Please dress for the weather, wear closed-toe shoes and bring water, snacks, and a flashlight or headlamp. MDC will provide canoes, paddles, and PFD’s. However, participants may bring their own vessel and equipment. This program is dependent on weather and river conditions. Participants will be contacted if conditions are not acceptable on the day of the event. All participants MUST register separately. You will be registered into the orientation upon registration for this event. Nikki King
