This program is hosted by the Webster Groves Nature Study Society Nature Book Group. How many senses do humans have? Bats have radar, blind cave fish have sonar, many insects have infrared vision and can discern nectar pointers on flower petals so they can easily locate the nectar on flowers. The book for this month is An immense World, How Animals Senses Reveal the Hidden Realms Around Us, by Ed Yong. We continue our exploration of animal senses by discussing the second half of the book which is chapters 7 through 13. Learn how bats use echoes, and electric eels and sharks use electricity to find their pray, and butterflies and birds detect magnetism to migrate. Join us to discuss this and much! Scott Sarantakis
