Join Tower Grove Park and the Missouri Department of Conservation for a hands-on, garden-based exploration of how pollination works and why it’s essential for the foods we love. During this interactive lesson, students will discover the parts of a flower and learn how pollen travels with the help of insects and other pollinators. Students will observe pollen up close, investigate which animals help move it, and learn how pollination leads to seeds, fruits, and ultimately the ingredients we eat every day. This program is for kindergarten through 5th grade. To bring these concepts to life, students will gather fresh produce from the garden and work together to make their own salsa, connecting each ingredient back to pollination. By the end of the experience, students will understand how plants reproduce, how pollinators support our food systems, and how seeds continue the cycle of growth. This engaging, movement-based program blends science, observation, and tasting to help students appreciate the important work of pollinators all around us. Program will take place at West End Picnic Site. Registration is required and is on Tower Grove Park Website: https://www.towergrovepark.org/homeschool REBECCA A RODRIGUEZ
