Spring has sprung and so have early spring wildflowers! Celebrate the turn of the season by making your own pair of earrings inspired by one of our favorite wildflowers, the spring beauty. During this program, you’ll hear a little bit about the different spring ephemerals (early spring wildflowers) you can find at Powder Valley. Appreciate how they play a vital role for many in the forest and learn how to defend the ephemerals that may be popping up in your yard. After our short presentation, we’ll design our own pair of earrings through the art of needle felting! Needle felting is a craft that uses special barbed needles and wool to sculpt shapes and designs. No experience required for this program as we will take you step by step through how to make these earrings. Please note that this program is for participants ages 18 and up.
