| March is Women’s History Month! Women have deep roots in the field of conservation, often becoming legends for their legacies left behind. Hike through this section of women’s history starting in the 1800s to today! Each stop features a strong female conservationist’s story and a small, hands-on activity to help participants envision their work. This hike will take place on the Hickory Ridge Long Loop, which is a 1.2-mile loop. Wear good walking shoes, dress for the weather, and be prepared for steep inclines and declines. Meet the naturalist at the frog statue in front of the nature center. This program is subject to cancellation due to inclement weather. If canceled, participants will be notified ahead of time. Please make sure to register all participants including children. |
