| This program is hosted by the Webster Groves Nature Study Society Nature Book Group. How many senses do humans have? Bats have radar, blind cave fish have sonar, many insects have infrared vision and can discern nectar pointers on flower petals so they can easily locate the nectar on flowers. The book for this month is An immense World, How Animals Senses Reveal the Hidden Realms Around Us, by Ed Yong. Please read chapters 1 through 6 and next month we will complete the book. What is your most favorite animal sense? Join us to discuss this and much! |
