Not only is biking great exercise, but it’s also an awesome and unique way to explore nature! Invite a friend or two and enjoy a leisurely bike ride along the Katy Trail from the New Franklin to Rocheport trailheads. During the ride, we will stop to discover natural wonders at Davisdale and Diana Bend Conservation Areas. The total distance for this ride will be approximately 11 miles. Round-trip transportation will be provided. Meet at the Central Regional Conservation Office (3500 E Gans Rd, Columbia, MO 65201.) Missouri Department of Conservation staff will shuttle participants to New Franklin Trailhead (approximately at 35-minute drive) and will shuttle participants from Rocheport Trailhead back to the Central Regional Conservation Office at the end of the program (approximately a 25-minute drive.) Bikes and helmets will be provided, but participants are welcome to bring their own. Make sure to bring a water bottle and to pack a lunch. All participants will need a permission form to be signed by a guardian before taking part in this program. Permission forms will be emailed to participants prior to the event or can be picked up at the Runge Nature Center in Jefferson City. Registration required. Ages 13-17. Austin Lambert
