Birds are especially vocal in spring—but not all of their sounds mean the same thing. In this virtual program, we’ll explore the difference between bird songs and calls, explore alarm calls, and discover why some birds exaggerate or even mimic other species. Through audio clips and discussion, you’ll start to learn to interpret bird sounds and what they reveal about predators, territory, and seasonal behavior. Brandon Viera
