This program includes archery safety, operation, shooting fundamentals, maintenance, and safe storage.

Come learn to shoot a bow and arrow at Rockwoods Reservation! After a quick lesson on bows, shooting technique, and eye dominance, participants will get to practice shooting at targets and try different challenges to improve their skills. This class is oriented for brand-new beginners, but anyone wanting practice time with a bow is welcome! This program will take place outdoors in a field. Please dress for the weather. This program is for children 10-18 only. Please register each child who will be attending. Parents do not need to register but will need to stay with their kids for the program. Keep in mind that shooting a bow does require a degree of upper body strength that younger/smaller children may not yet have. Maura Horton
