Nature Knows No Boarders: How Wildlife Unites Kansas and Missouri - Kansas and Missouri have quarreled for generations—over territory, state pride, and even which state gets to claim Kansas City. But while people draw boundaries, animals ignore them completely. Across shared prairies and woodlands, wildlife moves freely between the two states. Countless species roam, fly, scurry, and slither back and forth, unaware that a human-made line separates Kansas from Missouri. In the end, nature shows us that what divides people doesn’t divide animals—and there’s a lesson in that for all of us. Join MDC, Johnson County Police and Johnson County Parks Police to discuss our shared wildlife in the region. Location of the program will be at the Meadowbrook Clubhouse at 9101 Nall Ave, Prairie Village, KS 66207. Nikki King
