| Registration required by visiting www.deeproots.org/get-involved (adults) Winter sowing is an affordable way to grow native plants at home without a greenhouse. Native plants are adapted to the changing seasons. Many seeds required a cold, moist winter to break dormancy come spring. So, let's get planting! Join Deep Roots KC for a hands-on winter sowing workshop. Bring your own recycled containers, like milk jugs or plastic fruit cartons, and we'll provide the soil, native seeds and instruction to set you up for success. If accommodations are needed, please e-mail the instructor after registering and at least one week prior to the program. |
