| Join MDC for a Fishing Lure Making Night at the Boone County Nature School on January 7. This free event is designed for participants ages 14+. Any participant under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Participants ages 14+ are invited to learn how to make their own fishing lures. Participants will be given a demonstration on how to tie a fly, make a swim bait, and paint their own lures. You are encouraged to keep whatever lures you create! All needed materials will be supplied. This hands-on activity will also explain what conditions and situations each type of lure is best suited for. Information on how to fish different lures, what species to target, and ideal times of year based on each lure will be covered. This event will be held at the Boone County Nature School from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Questions concerning this event can be directed to Madeline Cox at Madeline.Cox@mdc.mo.gov.
