Additional Information: Instructed by:
Missouri is home to an incredible variety of plants, many of which can be used to create amazing natural dye. In this program, we will explore how to make natural dyes from some native Missouri plants as well as from food scraps. We will be dying wool yarn that we will be using during the afternoon crochet portion. We will have a variety of small crochet projects to choose from. For this portion, you should know how to crochet and be familiar with chain, slip stitch, single crochet, and double crochet to participate in this program. Please email the instructor if you’d like instructional videos to learn these stitches. All supplies will be provided including dye materials, yarn and a crochet hook. You are welcome to bring your own crochet supplies as well. Please wear clothes you wouldn’t mind getting messy. Lauren Voyles
