| Want to get into foraging wild edible plants, but don't know where to start? Join us for Foraging 101, a beginner-friendly, virtual presentation exploring Missouri’s edible plants throughout the seasons. The Webex link will be shared with the registered participants at least 24 hours in advance. We’ll walk through the fundamentals of safe and responsible foraging, including foraging ethics, tips, and basic techniques. You'll learn different plant parts and their uses as well as how to observe plants closely and use key identification features to avoid common look-alikes. We’ll also share a foraging calendar highlighting wild edibles to watch for each month. This is a great way to improve your outdoor skills and reconnect with nature! |
