Note: there is no building access during this Sunday program. Registration required (ages 16+) Join Us for Soul Qi, Mind. Body. Breath: Meditative Mindfulness Qigong and Tai chi with Jakini Auset, Community Health and Education RN, Certified Tai Chi for Health and First Aid and CPR Instructor. What is Soul Qi? “Soul Qi is my brand of Qigong, Mindfulness and Tai Chi. SQ is a holistic practice that focuses on mind, body and breath. The movements are slow motion and steady, weight shifting and circular to the rhythm of the breath. Starting with the Breath, this Practice is a moment to moment awareness and re-centering with self-love, for the cultivation of our thoughts and emotions as moving meditation.” J. MenAb What are the benefits of practicing Soul Qi? “ Some of the benefits of the continued practice of Soul Qi, includes • self-awareness and knowing, • improves balance, coordination and endurance • decreases anxiety, self-doubt and depression, • increases memory, confidence from learning a martial art for health and wellness. Program is outdoors and will happen as long as temperature is 40 degrees or warmer. Dress very comfortable WARM clothing to include gloves, hats and well-fitted flat shoes for balance strengthening and better connection to the earth. Dress for the weather! Class agenda Qigong warm-up and Yang and Tai Chi for health styles, Qigong cool down. Atmosphere: affirming, jazzy and meditative music with cedar and sandalwood incense aroma, and nature.
