Feeling overwhelmed from the hustle and bustle of daily life? Then join us for some self-care time that will allow the beauty and wonder of nature to recalibrate and restore you. A brief overview and history of forest bathing will be shared (the practice has ancient roots in Japan and Asia) along with techniques that will deeply connect your senses and mind to your surroundings. Learn about health benefits which can be gained from cultivating this practice in your life! You will leave feeling relaxed and rejuvenated with ideas and resources on how to continue the practice on your own. BTW, for this forest bathing, soap and water are not needed! Dress for the weather and bring bug spray. We will potentially walk about one-mile round trip on an easy trail. You might want to bring a towel to sit on and soak in the forest around you for a portion of your forest bathing time. Please consider bringing a sack lunch and chair to socialize for a while after the program. Please note that no restrooms are available at this location. |
