Start your morning with birdsong, fresh air, and a complimentary cup of bird-friendly coffee! Join a Powder Valley naturalist for an early morning program celebrating fall bird migration. We'll begin with a short presentation on the incredible journeys migratory birds make, the conservation challenges they face, and how something as simple as the coffee we drink can help protect their habitats. After the presentation, we'll hit Tanglevine Trail and Hickory Ridge Short Loop to look and listen for fall migrants passing through our area. Along the way, you’ll learn how to spot key species, as well as ways to support birds beyond the backyard. Bring your binoculars, dress for the weather, and meet us by the frog sculpture in front of the nature center. Trails include steep inclines and declines, so come prepared with proper footwear and water. All members of your party must register in advance separately. If you do not have binoculars, we have a pair you can borrow! Lauren Baker
