Join MDC for a free fishing night at Cosmo-Bethel Park on Aug. 27. This event is designed for participants of all ages. COLUMBIA, Mo. – Fishing can be done by participants of any age and skill level. At this free Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) event, participants will have the opportunity to catch and release fish from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Cosmo-Bethel Park in Columbia. Staff will be present to assist new anglers with how to cast, bait a hook, and properly handle fish. Fishing poles, tackle boxes, and bait will be provided. All participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Participants should plan to meet with MDC staff at the pavilion closest to the pond on the west side. Cosmo-Bethel Lake is a 6-acre lake located within Cosmo-Bethel Park. This area is owned and maintained by the City of Columbia.

Directions:

In Columbia, take Providence Road south, then Southhampton west two blocks, then Bethel north to Cosmo-Bethel Park.
