| Join us as we celebrate one of nature’s most amazing journeys—fall bird migration! Birds across Missouri are on the move down the Mississippi flyway, and this all-ages event is the perfect way to learn, explore, and have fun with our feathered friends in flight. Rockwoods is a designated Important Bird Area and a great place to witness this seasonal event. Throughout the morning you can discover where birds are headed with the interactive BirdCast website, test your knowledge in a “Guess the Bird” challenge, see if you survive our migration simulation game, help us add to a running list of species spotted throughout the day, and learn about Missouri’s endangered bird species and how you can help protect them. You’ll have a chance to help birds at home by making window collision prevention stickers and bird baths. There will also be a guided birdwatching hike at 11:45 am. Whether you're a lifelong birder or just bird-curious, this celebration is a great way to welcome the season and enjoy the wonders of wildlife together. Please register each participant individually. All ages welcome. |
