Celebrate Missouri’s state fruit—the pawpaw—right at the peak of its season! September is when pawpaws ripen in the wild, making it the perfect time to learn about this unique and often-overlooked native fruit. In this hands-on, all-ages program, we’ll explore the world of pawpaws: where they grow, how to identify them, and tips for foraging them responsibly. Then, we’ll work together to make fresh pawpaw ice cream and enjoy a delicious taste of the season. Whether you're curious about wild edibles, love to try local flavors, or just want a fun way to enjoy nature, this event is a sweet way to connect with Missouri’s outdoors! Please register each participant individually. Maura Horton
