Join MDC staff at the aquatic education pond at the Chesapeake fish hatchery for a fun and filling program on how to catch, clean, and prepare channel catfish! Bait and equipment will be provided or bring your own as we learn about this amazing native sport fish! Space is limited so register now! All participants 16 and over will need a valid Missouri fishing license! |

Location Information Chesapeake Fish Hatchery Annually, an average of more than 9 million fish are produced at Chesapeake, and more than 5 million fish per year are stocked out. Fish species produced include bluegill, channel catfish, fathead minnows, grass carp etc. |

Directions: Chesapeake Hatchery resides next to the village of Chesapeake in Lawrence County. It is located nine miles east of Mt. Vernon, or 10 miles west of Republic, on Highway 174. |
