This program includes archery safety, operation, shooting fundamentals, maintenance, and safe storage.

Join the Missouri Department of Conservation for an introduction to basic archery on July 8th at the Boone County Nature School. This free event is designed for participants ages 9 to 15. Participants ages 9 through 15 are invited to learn about the basics of archery. This program will detail the types of suitable equipment for beginners and the basic parts of archery equipment. Following the educational presentation, participants will be invited to shoot archery. All participants must be accompanied by an adult. The program will be held at the Boone County Nature School from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Questions concerning this event can be directed to Madeline Cox at Madeline.Cox@mdc.mo.gov.
