A great way to get started in the world of hunting is to go dove hunting! Join us at Ten Mile Pond Conservation Area where mentors will help you get hands on and learn the basics during your first dove hunt. Firearms, ammunition, and transportation from the nature center can be provided. To be eligible to sign up for this hunt you must first attend the “So you Wanna Start Dove Hunting?” class Saturday, August 16. An email with an itinerary, packing list, and full details will be sent about two weeks prior to the hunt. This program is designed for those who have never dove hunted before. All participants must purchase and possess a valid hunting permit and have completed Hunter Education. Please call the Cape Girardeau Nature Center for details on how you can be Hunted Education certified. Brandon Viera
