Dive into the wonderful world of aquatic macroinvertebrates and uncover the hidden heroes of our freshwater ecosystems! Join us as we go on a journey beneath the surface of our streams and learn all about these animals and how they make a massive difference despite their miniature stature. After a brief overview of different macroinvertebrates and their importance, we will head to Runge’s creek to get a close look at some real-life examples. Wear closed-toe shoes and dress both for the weather and the possibility of getting wet while we’re at the creek. Registration required. Ages 7+ Malcolm DeBroeck
