Additional Information: | Instructed by: |
Stroll on a wooded path in the late evening to the confluence of the Mississippi and Missouri rivers to catch the rising of the full Strawberry Moon. Along the path, notice how the rustling of the cottonwood leaves in the breeze sound like rippling, flowing water. Listen for the early summer sounds of gray treefrog choruses and the calls of a barred owl. Return to the parking lot under the bright light of the Strawberry Moon. Meet at Lot "L", about 4 miles from the front entrance. Dress for the weather and bring a water bottle and insect repellant. Moonrise: 6:22 pm. Sunset: 6:23 pm. |
