The St. Louis Wildlife Project is a partnership among local scientists whose aim is to understand how urbanization affects the diversity and distribution of wildlife in the metro region. Since 2018, we have been using trail cameras and acoustic recorders to document the presence of mammal species along a 40 km (25 miles) urban to rural transect that spans from Gateway Arch National Park in downtown St. Louis to Route 66 State Park in Eureka, MO. During this program, we will share findings from the first five years of our study. More information on this project can be found here https://stlwildlifeproject.org/. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. to enjoy the nature center before the presentation begins at 7:00 p.m. Participants 15 and under should attend with adult. |
