This program is hosted by the Webster Groves Nature Study Society Nature Book Group. The next three months we will have books of special interest for high school students on summer break. The book that will be covered this month is Letters to a Young Scientist, by Edward O. Wilson. Pulitzer Prize–winning biologist Edward O. Wilson imparts the wisdom of his storied career to the next generation. Wilson threads these twenty-one letters, each richly illustrated, with autobiographical anecdotes that illuminate his career?both his successes and his failures?and his motivations for becoming a biologist. Discussion points may include: What did you wonder about when reading this book? Did this book make you think differently about anything? Did it introduce you to a new point of view, new ideas, or new information? Scott Sarantakis
