Get ready for a summer of feathered fun! The Missouri Department of Conservation invites you to Birds in Your Backyard, Birds in Your City: An Ornithological Summer Series at Carpenter Library. Registrants will learn to identify local birds, invite species into your backyard with the perfect feed and feeder and participate in a guided bird walk through Tower Grove Park to practice what you've learned. Registration is required by the calling 314-241-2288. Session 2: Dreaming of a simple summer craft that will bring a bit of life to your backyard? Build your own real wood bird feeder (100% apartment friendly, too!) with guidance from the MDC and learn how to attract your favorite bird species! We'll cover core bird feeding principles while you assemble and decorate your feeder. All materials are provided by MDC and SLPL. Each registrant receives one feeder, while supplies last.
