Registration required (ages 12+) Join us in the new Frugal Foraging Folks group at the Discovery Center. This first class will be two parts, starting with a walk along the Rocky Point Glades Trail in Swope Park. Presenters will include an expert on mushrooms, which we will look for and identify along the way and take pictures as we see them. Another aspect of the hike will be identifying plants and trees by their leaves, bark, flowers (if present) and taking pictures to be identified during the class. Finally, we will meet at the picnic tables to talk about what we found and partake in some dandelion tea and some wild edible food. Please meet at Lake Lodge in Swope Park.
