Learn the history of maple sugaring and the techniques used to harvest from Missouri's native maple trees. Participants will learn how to set up and tap the trees and then discuss the cooking process. Instructors will offer samples of some of Mid-Missouri's finest maple syrup. The majority of this program will be outdoors in the forest on uneven terrain, please dress for the weather and wear appropriate footwear. |
