This program is hosted by the Webster Groves Nature Study Society Book Club. The book that will be covered this month is Hurricane Lizards and Plastic Squid, The Fraught and Fascinating Biology of Climate Change, by Thor Hanson. The author describes how animals and plants are coping with climate change. Join us as we share ideas and perspectives, and challenge assumptions. Discussion points may include: What did you wonder about when reading this book? Did this book make you think differently about anything? Did it introduce you to a new point of view, new ideas, or new information? For example, the pika which live in the Rocky Mountains have moved higher up the mountains as the area warms. What will they do when they reach the top of the mountain and there is nowhere for them to go. Can they adapt to warmer weather? Scott Sarantakis
