Come celebrate our Missouri State bird the Eastern Bluebird and help construct a bird house suitable for raising young birds here at the Nature School in the spring. The eastern bluebird is a small North American migratory thrush found in open woodlands, farmlands, and orchards. The bright blue plumage of the male makes this bird easily observed and identified on a wire or open perch. Come learn about the biology, habitat, and natural history of these unique birds from experienced birders and conservationists. Everyone will have the chance to construct a bluebird house that will be used here at the school. All tools and materials will be provided. Participants aged 15 and under must be accompanied by an adult |
