This program includes rifle safety, operation, shooting fundamentals, maintenance, and safe storage.

The Modern Rifle Platforms course is designed to bring a hands-on experience for the safe handling and proper use of modern rifles. This course will include a classroom and range session. Students will learn the history of the different rifle platforms, safe firearm handling, shooting basics, proper maintenance, and types of ammuntion. Students may bring their own rifle, but will need to provide their own ammunition if they bring their own rifle (NO armor penetrators, green tip, or incendiary ammunition are allowed.)Facility rifles and ammunition also will be provided, if needed.
