Walk-in (all ages) There's something enchanting about observing how birds adapt to the challenges of winter. How do they find food in the snow? What strategies do they use to stay warm? Join us for this fascinating program focused on birds' winter adaptations. We'll explore how features like feather density, body shape and beak structure help birds thrive in cold environments. Through engaging activities and close observations, we'll uncover the secrets of how these remarkable creatures survive the winter months. This program is in partnership with the Missouri River Bird Observatory. If accommodations are needed, please e-mail the instructor at least one week prior to the program. |
