This program includes archery safety, operation, shooting fundamentals, maintenance, and safe storage.

Explore the evolution of archery! Join us for a hands-on journey through the history of archery, featuring: • Atlatl: Learn the ancient art of spear throwing with this prehistoric tool. • Crossbow: Experience the medieval innovation that changed warfare and hunting. • Compound Bow: Discover modern precision with this advanced bow. Suitable for all skill levels, this program offers basic instruction and historical insights into each hunting method. Dress for the weather, bring a lawn chair, water bottle, and snack if desired. Participants will meet at the outdoor pavilion before walking to the range as a group. Come and see how archery has evolved over time! Registration required. Ages 10+ Note: Runge's outdoor range may not be accessible to participants who use a wheelchair or crutches. Please check for availability of an all-terrain wheelchair by contacting the program instructor at least two weeks in advance of the program date. Sarah Easton
