Additional Information: Instructed by:
Wolf spiders can be found pretty much everywhere in Missouri: forests, fields, backyards and sometimes even finding their way into our homes. Fortunately, they are considered harmless. There are lots of different species of wolf spiders, large and small. This program will start indoors with a presentation on what makes wolf spiders unique and important. This will be followed by an outdoor, nocturnal, foray to observe wolf spiders in their habitats, locating them using their “eye shine”, and perhaps even catching a few for close-up appreciation. Bringing headlamps is recommended. In the event of weather-related cancellation, registrants will be notified by email at least 24 hours prior to the start of the program. DAVID J BRUNS
