Honeysuckle, stiltgrass, and goldfish, oh my! Take a .6-mile walk around Claire Gempp Memorial Conservation Area with an MDC Naturalist to get familiar with common St. Louis area invasive species. Invasive species are aggressive, nonnative species of plants and animals whose presence causes or is likely to cause harm to the environment, economy, and/or human health. See how these species, both plant and animal, affect this conservation area, and learn what we’re doing to put a stop to them. When registering for this hike, please make sure to register all participants attending in your group, even children. Please wear proper hiking shoes, dress for the weather, and bring water to drink while we walk. |
