Who can see in the dark and sail silently through the air as they search for food?? Owls, that whooo! Owls are more often heard than seen, but they are not the only members of Nature's Night Shift that spend most of their life under the cover of darkness. Special adaptations make it possible for other types of birds, insects, and even some plants to live and thrive in the dark. Learn about some of the special characteristics that make this possible. Bring a sack lunch. Water, coffee, and dessert will be provided. |
