Note: This program takes place at Three Creeks Conservation Area in Boone County. Join Runge naturalists as we discover the natural wonders inside Hunter’s Cave at Three Creeks Conservation Area. Be sure to pack a water bottle and dress for the weather. Caves are typically 55 – 57 degrees Fahrenheit, so you may want to bring an extra layer of clothing. Rubber boots or sturdy closed-toe shoes that can get wet are required since a good portion of the caving experience requires walking in chilly water. Hard hats and flashlights will be provided, but feel free to bring your own. Access to the cave requires a 15-minute hike in hilly terrain and entering a small gate with an opening that is approximately three feet tall and two feet wide. Details will be emailed to participants before the program with directions on where to meet at Three Creeks. Please contact the instructor if you have any questions or concerns regarding the experience. Registration required. Ages 12+ |
