Registration required (ages 10+) Everyone loves a good campfire, but can you create one yourself? Learn to build a campfire you can truly be proud of - starting with the sparks. Try your hand a primitive fire-starting methods, like flint and steel, that were essential for survival long before the modern convenience of matches or lighters. We'll explore what naturally occurring materials make good tinder, kindling and fuel and how to build a productive fire from scratch. If accommodations are needed, please e-mail the instructor after registering and at least one week prior to the program. |
