| Come enjoy an evening under the stars! On August 4th the moon will rise and set with the sun. This means the “night side” of the moon will face Earth, offering the darkest skies possible for viewing stars, constellations, and planets which would otherwise be hidden by the moon’s light. If skies are clear, we will have telescopes set up for viewing focal points in the night sky. Around the campfire, Naturalists will discuss how wildlife behavior is affected during a new moon. S’mores will be provided. Please bring a lawn chair or blanket, flashlight, water bottle, and bug spray if needed. Please register each participant attending individually. |
